Under 9's played strong hard footy with Zac, Jackson and Jayden scoring tries. Thank you to Riley for stepping up and tackling strongly and was awarded players player. Rhys did well organising the boys whilst Jayden and Noah made lengthy runs. Blake, Brady, Stuart and Cody worked tirelessly all game.
On Sunday our under 8's competed in the Wingham gala day. William made sensational runs whilst Conner tackled hard all game.
Travis made strong line breaks and Jacob defended his wing well. Riley had an awesome step and made many meters all day. Marshall made strong runs up the centre also making quality meters.
The under 9's also played in the gala day under very wet conditions. The boys played hard in there two games against Camden Haven and Port Sharks. With tries a plenty Zac was outstanding with 5 tries in one game. The boys showed great talent passing along the line and in there defence. Strong attacking saw Rhys, Jackson and Cody also score tries.
This team is playing some great football and if they continue and stick together for upcoming years, they will be a strong unit. Next week under 9's play at Forster.
Under 13's played their first match against the Old Bar Pirates in two years and found a vastly improved side against them. The Pirates were on the ball right from the kickoff and were relentless against the young Magpies. A big welcome back to the Rose twins who made an impact straight away.
Great to have you back boys. Having the extra numbers was a great help to the side. Although the boys tackled hard and really tried to the extreme to break through the Pirates defence, it was a few mistakes and missed opportunities which meant the Pirates scored a fairly east victory 32-10.
Man of the match and 3 points to Bradey Rose, 2 points to Darcy and 1 point to Bailey. We have another home game next week hope to see you all there.
The boys love having you all there for your support!
Go the junior magpies.
