Mr Page, who is based in Newcastle, visited Gloucester, Bulahdelah, Stroud and Taree on Wednesday to meet with workers.
Mr Page told the Manning River Times he believes the job losses will impact staff from a range of different qualifications including engineers, electricians, line workers, administration and clerical roles.
Workers are said to be informed about their forced redundancies in coming weeks.
Essential Energy in Taree employs 44 staff, Stroud five, Bulahdelah seven and Dungog 10.
Mr Page said he can’t see smaller depots such as Stroud being able to operate with their numbers halved.
“Electricity is an essential service and it will be affected. With less staff - power outages will be longer,” Mr Page said.
Around 40 Taree Essential Energy staff met with Mr Page to discuss their avenues to fight the decision.
Mr Page called on member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead to speak to the National Party and to champion the worker’s plight with the NSW government.
“Mr Bromhead needs to sit down with his National Party colleagues and work out how they can fight to protect the interests of the communities they are paid to represent,” Mr Page said.
Mr Bromhead told the Manning River Times he would be talking to his colleagues in the National Party about the issue and that prior to the 2014 State election the National Party fought to keep Essential Energy non-privatised with the intention of protecting regional jobs.
Mr Page said the union planned to meet with NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro this December. ETU deputy secretary Dave McKinley told the Sydney Morning Herald he had asked for Mr Barilaro's intervention to protect regional communities from the job cuts because Essential Energy was still owned and controlled by the NSW government.
