The concert, held at the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie on Feburary 15, showcased students from the Mid North and Tablelands regions, stretching from Wingham, Gloucester and Forster, west to Armidale and Tamworth and north through Kempsey to Coffs Harbour.
The top performers are selected from the State, Catholic and private high schools to create a two hour concert, highlighting each musician’s talent.
Hanu and Ben were chosen, along with 17 other students, to perform at the seventh annual Bravissimo Concert.
Hanu Barff performed vocals and Ben Reynolds played guitar; both having achieved a Band six in their Music One Course.
Hanu was also awarded an ENCORE nomination from the NSW Board of Studies. ENCORE is a program of outstanding performances and compositions by students from the HSC music examinations, held annually at the Sydney Opera House.
Tickets for the Bravissimo concert had sold out in late November.
