A clinic established by Legal Aid NSW is expanding to cover a wider range of everyday legal issues, including fines and debts, housing and rights in the workplace.
“This popular clinic will now be a true one-stop shop for any Gloucester locals seeking legal advice and support,” Legal Aid NSW Regional Outreach Clinic program manager Jenny Lovric said.
“Perhaps you're renting and the landlord is ignoring important repairs around your home, or you have recently separated from a partner and want to understand what this will mean for you and your kids.”
“We know these sorts of situations can be extraordinarily stressful for you and your loved ones. But they are common scenarios, and you can get help.”
“You can sit down with an experienced and understanding lawyer who can talk you through your situation and help you understand your options – and this service is available free of charge to anyone who needs it.”
Amanda Dries, of Walker Legal & Conveyancing Taree, is one of the lawyers who will be on hand to answer questions and provide clear and confidential legal advice.
“Legal problems can be daunting and it can be tempting to put off dealing with them. But getting the right advice early can make a big difference,” Ms Dries said.
“You may find your problem can be solved simply and quickly.”
Clinics are held on the first and third Monday of each month, from 10am to 12.30pm, at the Bucketts Way Neighbourhood Group, 88 King Street, Gloucester. Call 6558 2454 to make an appointment.
