The Rotary Club of Tuncurry/Forster hosts the breakfast on the top deck of the Forster Surf Club every year.
Locals and visitors alike took in the beautiful view and the hearty barbecue. The breakfast was followed by the traditional flag raising on Pilot Hill.
Rotary member Peter Jude says Australia Day is a day of camaraderie and to celebrate our great nation.
“There’s not an AK-47 in sight,” he said, paying tribute to our peaceful way of life.
Over at John Wright Park in Tuncurry classic car enthusiasts gathered to display their beautiful machines.
A combined effort between the Green Point, Pacific Palms, Bungwahl and Coomba Rural Fire Service (RFS) saw the sausage sangas rolling out throughout the morning.
At Hallidays Point the Australian Anthem was led by Josh, Zanthie and Grace on holiday from Sydney:
