Several enthusiastic community members responded to the call to Clean up Gloucester, as part of Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, March 4.
Although, on the whole of Gloucester is quite tidy, it is always disappointing to see rubbish littering our lovely town.
A number of sites were targeted with some of the 14 volunteers picking up junk close to where they live, outside of the town boundaries.
A considerable number of the items picked up were drink bottles and cans, as well as disposable food containers.
And, unfortunately discarded cigarette butts remain a big eyesore, especially in the car parks behind the shopping area.
Broken road markers and signs were found along the roadsides and at one rest area, somebody had just tossed out their old unwanted electrical goods.
Thanks to all those volunteers who gave up their time to help with the clean up.
You did a great job!
