To be truthful, there have been some almost wash-outs but this year was absolutely perfect.
In a cycle of dry weather, we had a window of opportunity affording us the whole four days of the rally absolutely dry and sunny, which put smiles on every entrants’ face, including my own.
Part of the Saturday ride was east to Seal Rocks, enhanced now by a sealed road to the delight of those like myself who at last visit endured rough gravel and dusty conditions.
The lunch venue was west to Coomba Park before returning home.
It seems rather ironic that although I have lived in Forster all my life, that is only the third time I have seen Seal Rocks which makes me realise I must see my own locality before venturing further afield.
To a rider seeing this part of our coast for the first time they would be impressed by the scenic beauty of the natural bush and coastline, almost unspoilt from my observation.
No trouble was encountered by entrants. Good weather and trouble-free motoring ended the rally.
After riders were packed up and leaving for home on Sunday afternoon, down came the rain. How good is that? Doesn’t get any better.
