Gloucester children sat down at the same time to listen to the same story as part of the 2018 National Simultaneous Storytime.

Gloucester Public School kindergarten to year two students listened their principal, Leanne Wakefield read Hickory Dickory Dash at the same time as Gloucester preschool students enjoyed James Hooke’s rendition in the Gloucester library on Wednesday, May 23 at 11am.
It’s the 18th time a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, has been read simultaneously in libraries, schools, preschools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.

At the library, Simultaneous Storytime regulars Mr Hooke and Pippa Robinson entertained Gloucester Pre-school and Barrington Street Pre-school students with a interactive version of the story.
Meanwhile, GPS students were told after they enjoyed their reading with Ms Wakefield, the year one and two students would be explore the book further during their library lessons.
