July is national desexing drive month.
From Monday, July 2 to Monday, July 30 people with a Government pension, concession or healthcare card are eligible for a subsided cost for getting their pets desexed.
The subsidy reduces the cost for male cats to be desexed to $20, female cats to $30 and all dogs to $50.
This offer is available in the Great Lakes, Manning, Tea Gardens, Gloucester, Bulahdelah, and Kempsey.
Download the desexing drive application form and instructions at http://www.awlnsw.com.au/great-lakes.html or email greatlakes@awlnsw.com.au to be sent an application form directly.
“Please be patient because our desexing drive is run by volunteers and the demand for this special offer is high!” a spokesperson from the Animal Welfare League NSW said.
Sweet Pea Animal Hospital in Forster commented that this is “a great opportunity to have all of your pets desexed and prevent unwanted pregnancies.
“Once you receive your voucher from AWL, give us a call and book your pet in!”
