The Tigers opened the scoreline with an early goal against the run of play, while Isaac Earle Broadly saved a high, long range free kick taken by the Tigers after a tough tackle near the box. Josh Anniwell made a runaway down the centre of the field, but was stopped in his tracks by the Tiger’s defence inside the box which created a penalty along with a yellow card. Kelly Groves took the shot to level the score to 1-1 for the remainder of the first half.
A great header by Kayden Schumann from a cross ball created an early goal for Drifta in the beginning of the second half. Aiden Hawkins and Cody Howard combined well up front and were unlucky not to come away with any goals despite their consistent efforts with long range shots and through balls from Lane Edwards and Harrison Edwards. Beau Blanch added to the tally with a sneaky ball that had rebounded back from the keeper. With just seconds before full time, Josh Anniwell slotted the ball into the corner of the net, giving Drifta a win of 4-1.
Next week Drifta have the bye.
