Soldiers Club held the Barracudas throughout the majority of the first half, until a lapse in team concentration saw the Barracudas slot in two quick goals.
Andrew Hughes, Matthew Trudgeon and Sam Mundy worked tirelessly in defence, keeping the Barracudas at bay, along with Brandon Xuereb, ramping up their defensive line, conceding no goals for the remainder of the game. Tyler Davies and Brett Genoli combined well together up front with Joel Sheely in the midfield. Thanks to Tristyn Beard, Aiden Hawkins and Hayden Reid for stepping up and taking on some strong tackles in the men’s division at short notice.
Final score 2-0 to the Barracudas.
Next week Gloucester Soldiers Club Men’s team travel to Pacific Palms to take on Tinonee at 3:00pm.
