This annual winter event brings Gloucester’s main street alive with market stalls, rides, entertainment, live music and gourmet food and local produce.
Hosted by the Gloucester Business Chamber, the festival is a fabulous showcase of the local shopping precinct and attracts many captivating market stallholders, along with plenty of main street action.

The event evolved after local business owners decided to develop an annual event as a positive way to celebrate the sense of community in Gloucester, and attract visitors to the region.
Organisers strive to create a genuine country fair atmosphere each year.
There are always plenty of activities and rides for the kids, plus a variety of great food and entertainment for the whole family.
This year’s event includes:
- Over 100 market stalls
- A dog show
- Wood chopping events
- Camping Expo
- Monster Raffle
- Science & Engineering show
- Street entertainment
- Carnival Rides
- Show “n” shine car show
- Beard & beanie competition
Plus a whole array of delicious food, beer, wine and live music.
Enjoy a ride on the Tin Hare heritage train ride, tickets are limited, so be sure to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Fun for the kids
There is so much to keep the kids, big and small, entertained.
From Zarb balls to jumping castles and giant slides, show bags and fairy floss.
You won’t have time to get cold at this year’s Chill Out. But just in case you do, don’t worry, there are some beautiful outdoor heaters to help keep you toasty.

Head to the main street to enjoy terrific music and all-day entertainment.
Do you think you’ve got what it takes to be a rodeo rider? Test your skills on the one and only world famous Mad Cow.
This is no ordinary mechanical bull, this crazy cow has been ridden by the best, in fact, he is the official ride used for the current Guinness World Record.
Check out the strong skilful Axemen at the annual Chill Out Woodchop.
Wood chopping has been around for hundreds of years and is where skilled contestants attempt to be the first to cut or saw through a log or other blocks of wood. Come and cheer them on.
