Gloucester CWA Evening Branch
Members of Gloucester Country Women’s Association (CWA) Evening Branch have had a busy month with catering, first slices for the Debutante Ball, then combined with Day Branch to do a Polish luncheon for our International Day.
All enjoyed the delicious food of Poland, our country of study for this year. The great guest speakers were very interesting, speaking on life in Poland and costumes worn for various occasions.
The next catering was for the Mid North Coast Group Council meeting held on Tuesday, July 31.
Members from Nambucca Heads in the north to Bulahdelah in the south attended, with the Evening Branch hosting the event.
Congratulations to Virginia Monroe and Denise Hawdon who were successful with their Lime and Buttermilk cakes and Robert Lamb and Denise Redman for their Pomegranate Jelly, all now have to cook again and compete at group level later this year.
What a great morning the Young Women’s Group had recently, some Evening Branch members joined in for a car maintenance workshop arranged by Lauren McRae.
Changing tyres and checking the engine was all part of the morning, thanks to the staff at Gloucester Tyre and Battery Service.
Next meeting for the CWA Evening Branch will be held at the CWA rooms on Thursday, August 9 at 7pm.
All welcome.
