The purpose of the night was to raise awareness of drug and alcohol issues in the Gloucester region.
Community Drug Action Teams (CDAT's) are committed to raising public awareness and encouraging involvement in issues related to drug and alcohol use and misuse.
Groups of concerned community members have come together to work with Government agencies and other organisations to address the impact of drug and alcohol misuse for individuals, families and communities.
The Monster Mania social was open to all school attending students; the theme for the night was ‘Monsters’, which saw a wide array of costumes being worn, with appreciation going towards everyone who made so much effort with their costumes.
The CDAT committee also supplied prizes on the night for best costume, lucky door prizes and best dancer. The lucky winners had their choice of chocolates, iTunes vouchers and sporting equipment. There was plenty of music, dancing and prizes on the night with both primary and senior socials having a nice turn out of roughly 70 students. Students were also treated to a light meal and some amazing spooky treats catered for by Blueprint Training Kitchen.
The Gloucester CDAT are always looking for new members, meetings are every second month for further enquiries, contact Kim Wiesner or Amy Dillon on 65582454
