Four Rural Fire Service firefighters were injured in a truck roll over at Caparra, north west of Wingham.
Just after midnight on Thursday, August 16, the firefighters were travelling on Caparra Road to battle a bushfire when their tanker rolled down steep terrain.
The driver of the truck was ejected from the cabin.
Ambulance and police services attended the scene.
All firefighters, from the Wherrol Flat brigade, were taken by ambulance to Port Macquarie Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Two were released from hospital later that day while one will undergo surgery for an injured hand.
The other firefighter is expected to be released from hospital in the the next 48-72 hours.
RFS thanked volunteers and emergency services who assisted. The incident will be investigated by the RFS.
