Buy a $2 Raindrop Token at Lovey’s Grocers IGA Gloucester and your donation will help Aussie farmers through this difficult time of drought.
Lovey’s has partnered with Drought Angels to help fundraise for farmers and provide relief where it is needed most. The raindrop tokens are available until November 4 with 100 per cent of the funds raised donated to the Drought Angels Appeal.
“This initiative is happening in IGA stores across the country to support the lifeblood of Australia, our farmers. If we’re each able to give a little, it can make a big difference to those who need our help,” co-owner of Lovey’s, James Lovegrove said.
The drought has largely affected Queensland, Victoria and SA, with almost all farmers in NSW living in tough conditions. Many farmers and their families are struggling to grow their crops and are having to put down their livestock.
Drought Angels support Aussie farmers and their communities with meaningful and personalised assistance. They provide help including food hampers, care packs, prepaid visas local store vouchers, stock feed and hay. They also organise 'Rural Day Off' events to provide farming families with reprieve from their tough circumstances.
“When you buy a token, write your name and put it on our raindrop wall, we’ll send a photo to Drought Angels to share with the farmers and show how much the Gloucester community supports them.”
