Town v Country
The Town v Country comp, sponsored by Tony and Di Berecry, and Joost and Bonnie Wertz, was won by the Country team with an average score of 33pts with the Town team on 26pts avg. The best score for the Country team was Bert Newman with 37pts and for the Town Denver Webb with 28. Runners-up balls went to Roy Crighton 36pts and Bill Murray 31. Nobody won the NTP on the 4/13 (where were you Elaine?) and Chris Pritchard narrowly won the 6/15 NTP from Denver. The Stayers award went to guest player from Victoria, Bruce Morris, and Dale Rabbett put in her third card to gain a handicap, well done. A reminder that next week is the Pritchard T/D stroke event and Treasurer's putting comp, with the Vets v Ladies challenge put back to the 25th.
Ladies Golf
Final Round of Club Championships
Wednesday was the final round of the Ladies Championships and congratulations to Gai Randall who is once again the Ladies champion. Gai had an easy win by 15 strokes from Ev Blanch. Division 2 winner was Val Smith who came from behind to beat Jill Carson by 1 Stroke and also coming from behind was Pat Burrows to win by 2 strokes from Rhonda Nightingale, congratulations ladies, it’s a great honour to win the championships. In conjunction to the Championships was the final round of the WGNSW Medal round Div1 winner was Gai Randall 83 nett, Div 2 Val Smith 80 nett and Pat Burrows 78 nett. Ball comp winners were Margaret Dunn 81 nett, Ann Maggs 81 Nett, Pam Paff 82 nett. Next week is the final monthly Medal round and on Tuesday 25th it’s the return visit to play ladies verses Veterans.

Par 3 Championships
On Saturday members and ladies played the annual Par 3 championships for trophies kindly donated by Gloucester Tyre and Batteries, thanks Adam for your continued support of our club. Winners on the day were Tom Dare in the mens, with 49 nett and Anne Mullen in the ladies with 52 nett, congratulations to both of our winners. The runners up for both events were Steve Burns with 51 nett and Pam Paff with 59 nett. The NTPs went to Steve for the men on the 4th/13th and L Daley for the ladies. W Murray won the mens on the 5th/14th and G Randall for the ladies. The ball comp went down to 58. This weekend is the annual Bowden Brothers 4 man ambrose with only 3 slots left open for your teams so get your names in if you wish to play. The graded match play event needs to be completed by the end of October those involved are L Wilson vs P Bowden, P Blanch vs J Andrews in A grade, D Weismantle vs W Murray, M Groves vs C Ejea in B grade, D Barron vs P Hawkins, A Wall vs B Newman in C grade. The above matches are the 1st rnd event which should be completed as soon as possible so the competition can be decided before the end of October. The men's foursomes is going to be played on the 23rd of this month. Unfortunately there are very few names on the start sheet at the moment, please support this event because if it isn't the competition will be cancelled, which I don't want to see.
