Sixty three members of Gloucester Probus Club attended our September 6 meeting. President Robert Sparke introduced Megan Griffiths, training and development officer with Midcoast Waste Services. Megan clarified the dos and don’ts of recycling and using Midcoast Council’s waste collection service.
Afterwards, we enjoyed a Father’s Day barbecue at the bowling club and celebrated our club’s 19th Birthday. We welcomed visitor Bev Hungerford, who decided to join our club on the day and will receive her badge at the next meeting Thursday, October 4.
We wish some of our members a great trip to Tasmania in October. In November we have a bus trip to Port Macquarie, then on to Wauchope by boat. So far 46 members are booked.
