Foursome Championships
Ladies Golf
A nice warm day greeted us on Wednesday to play the Foursome Championships over 27 Holes.
Annette Cravino decided she needed a holiday so Gai Randall her usual partner had to find someone different to play with, Debbie Wilson was a great choice Gai, as I believe she played beautifully. Gai and Debbie won the day with 141 gross, congratulations girls, it looks like Annette will be looking for a new partner next year.
Runners up were Margaret Dunn and Moyà Harris with 146 gross, you played well girls. 27 hole nett winners were Jill Carson and Ann Mullen with 111nett. Ball winners Pam Paff and Rhonda Nightingale 113 nett, Val Smith and Kay Holstein 117 nett and Ev Blanch and Myrelle Fraser 121nett. NTP 6th@15th Div 1 Ev Blanch and Myrelle Fraser.
Div 2 Ann Mullen and Jill Carson. 4th@13th Gai Randall and Debbie Wilson. Good luck to the girls going to Harrington for the 4B verses Par finals and those who are going to Wingham Open Day.
Next week’s event is a Stableford and Monthly Medal playoff.
Bowden Family Golf Day
On Saturday members played a 4 person ambrose event for trophies supplied by the Bowden Family.
Our combined thanks go to the family, because it was definitely a family affair with more Bowdens there then you could poke a stick at, for your continued support of our club. A very big field of golfers played on the day, which contributed to the success of the day, good to see so many players out there. The winners on the day were K Whitby, R Moore, M Howland, J Startin and Phil with a great score of 52 1/8, the team of M Bowden, J Crawford, B Germon and J Redman were the runners up and G Wright, D Pugwash, K Laurie and J Andrews coming 3rd.
The NTPs went to Phil in A grade, J Herd won the B grade no one went close in C grade and the ladies was won by N Whale. The 2nd shot went to Emu with Ernie winning the men's long drive and E Murray winning the ladies. This Saturday is a stableford event for trophies kindly donated by Avon Valley Concreting and the following Saturday is another 4 man Ambrose for Bowe and Lidbury. The Derro's matchplay needs to be completed by the end of October so please organise your matches as well as the graded matchplay which needs to finished by the same time.
As a reminder P Blanch and J Andrews need to play each other in A grade , D Weismantle and W Murray need to play each other in B grade and D Barron and P Hawkins, and A Wall and B Newman need to organise their games in C Grade.

Veterans
Last week, the veterans played a 4ball best ball competition sponsored by Peter and Roslyn McIntyre.
The day finished up being a benefit day for Chris Pritchard. He partnered with Sally Higgins to have the best team score of 42 points. He also had the best individual score of 33 points and took out the nearest the pin on the 6/15th. Balls went to Peter Buettel and Sally Higgins on 41 points and to Keith Whitby and Joost Werz, also with 41 points. No one reached the green in regulation on the 4th/13th.
The stayers award went to Bill Murray and Derek Bardwell.
