From 4pm until 8pm on Saturday, October 20 you can come along to this intimate small hall venue to hear a great variety of performances mostly by local musicians, from very young to not-quite-so-young.
First up will be the Wingham Public School Marimba Group, who won first prize at their instrumental section at the Taree Eisteddfod this year. Then Wingsong Choir will perform some of the music they have prepared for opening the main Akoostik Festival on the Friday.
Then the stage will be cleared for a series of solo artists including Rose Wilson and Indiah Faint from the Hastings Valley, Keegan Gibson from Great Lakes, and our own loved locals Xavier Hunt, Hudson Rose, Peter Madigan and Graeme Bird.
After the solos will be some great ensembles: In Acchord on ukuleles, and Sing Boolarng with guitar, both featuring rich intricate vocal harmonies, The Blue Hour trio led by Andrina Sheahan, and finishing with the ever popular Sweet ‘n Swampy duo of Margaret Rew and John Melville.
Entry is $20/$15 concession at door, children under 13 free, and free for all Akoostik Festival pass holders. Refreshments will be available for a donation to The Hunger Project.
