Creating quilts to provide comfort and warmth to help others is what the Mid Coast (NSW) Community Quilters group is all about.
In order to keep creating, the group needs to raise money, so its holding an exhibition, open to the public.
Airing of the Quilts Day is all about letting the community know what the group the does, as well as an opportunity to display their handiwork.
The event will take place at the group’s clubhouse, located at quilters president, Anne Noell’s house in Belbora on Sunday November 4.
During the event, quilts will be hung on display for people to admire and purchase, with funds going toward more materials for the group to create more quilts.
The day kicks off at 10am at 2516 The Bucketts Way, Belbora and runs until 3pm. Gold coin donation entry.
The group comprises of 12 to 15 women who get together once or twice a week to make quilts that are donated to a variety of causes, like hospitals, nursing homes and the police domestic violence unit.
