The Gloucester Commonwealth Bank branch has once again joined the “#inthebag” campaign, setting up a collection point for handbags in new or near new condition, along with women’s personal care and sanitary items. The initiative is run by Australian not-for-profit organisation, Share the Dignity, which has been providing homeless and at risk women with sanitary products since early 2015. If you’d like to donate, it’s simple. First of all, choose a handbag in good condition that you no longer use. Then simply fill it with items that would make a woman feel special, and pop in a thoughtful note or Christmas card and show her someone cares. Next time you’re at the shops, collect a few extra items, then fill your handbag with goodies, and drop it down. For more information visit, www.sharethedignity.com.au/christmas-charity/
