Emergency crews have been working throughout the evening and this morning to clear roads, assess damage and restore power.
Calls to the Mid Coast District RFS started from 7.30pm, with 20 crews sent out throughout the evening to attend a range of incidents from powerlines down to roofs off of buildings from Bulahdelah to Port Macquarie.
As of 9.30am MidCoast Council is unable to determine how many roads are needing to be cleared in the council region, but are working with NSW SES crews to remove debris and restore traffic flow.
Essential Energy has been working throughout evening and this morning to restore power to all the affected areas.
