Veterans
Last week, the veterans played a three person stableford multiplier event. In this, the individual stableford points of each member of a team of three are multiplied together to give the team score. If each member played to handicap, this would result in a team score of 144 points.

The run away winners with an amazing score of 199 points were Phil Hawkins, Peter McIntyre and Bruce Fraser. A long way back, but still with a good score were Elaine Murray, Denver Webb and Derek Bardwell with 164 points. Third place went to Roy Crichton, Ric Paff and Col Roser on 128 points. Denver Webb had the best individual score for the day with 44 points. Nearest the pins went to Roy Crichton and Ele Fraser on the 4//13th and to Mark Stone on 6/15. The stayers award went to Bill Murray, Mark Howland and Bob Kirkup.
Monthly Stroke/Medal Rnd
On Saturday members played the Monthly stroke/medal round with trophies kindly donated by the Clarke family of Arkwood. The winners on the day were R Paff with a fine 68 nett to win the monthly medal, S Williams winning A grade with 71 nett and B grade went to R Moore with 72 nett. The gross winners on the day were Rob in B grade, Ric in C grade and P Blanch in A grade. The NTPs went to S Burns in A grade, P Garland in B grade, K Wiggins in C grade and the long drive was won by Choc. The ball comp went down to 73 on a countback.
This weekend is the annual Rob Moore 4 man ambrose event and the time sheet is filling very quickly so if you want to play get your names in quickly. Sunday the 17th is the Stroud Open so let me know if you want to play so I can get your names in.
