On Saturday members played the annual Rob Moore ambrose event with a large field of players enjoying the day and conditions.

The winners on the day were J Andrews, Muz Bowden, B Barlow and G Wright with 53 nett, great score and hard to beat, with next best team were 4 strokes behind.
The runners up were P and D Blanch, S Williams and P Garland with 57. The ball comp went down to 59 on a countback. The NTPs went to D Blench In A grade, I Keast in B grade, C Predebon in C grade with Roy having the best 2nd shot and B Cooper winning the long drive. Next Saturday is a stableford event kindly sponsored by Autolec.
Sunday this week is the Stroud open so anyone who wants to play should contact me so I can put your entry in.
To make sure that every one involved in the mug of mugs event knows this contest will be played on the next monthly/stroke event so it can be sorted earlier than normal. I will try to contact all those involved before hand to make sure you can all play.

Veterans
Last week, the Veterans played an Individual Stableford round for trophies kindly donated by John and Marg Woodford.
Ric Paff continued his winning form from the weekend, returning a round of 40 points to win the day. Dale Rabbett was a close second with 39 points, followed by Elaine Murray on 38, then Bob Kirkup, Shaun Hampstead (a visitor for the day from Sydney) and Mark Stone all on 37. Di Pritchard was nearest the pin on the 4/13th and Bill Murray got the ball on the 6/15th. Joost Werz took home the stayers award.
