The third annual competition attracted 60 players for the Four Man Ambrose event designed for players of all levels of ability. Winners of the day were Tim Briggs, Andrew Sansom, David and Wayne Maddalena with 55 1/2 nett.
"Tom was a much loved and respected man to all that met him," Wayne said. "He was a friend to everyone and has been sorely missed."
According to Wayne, the highlight of the day was when all the players and friends gathered on the 18th green to toast Tom. With Tom's favourite drink in hand, the crowd joined in on a rendition of Pink Floyd's, "Wish You Were Here", to honour a man who touched all their hearts.
"Tom didn't like the limelight too much and was renowned for his very short victory speeches," Wayne recalled.
Along with the plenty of sponsored prizes dished out after the event, there were plenty of memories and stories shared in the clubhouse.
