It's one of over 160 clubs across Australia to receive funding to replace or expand its sports equipment and Gloucester is using it to help purchase a new high jump mat.
For every bag sold, 25 cents is directed to the Coles Little Athletics Community Fund to provide sport equipment grants.
According to Coles State general manager Reagan Lauder the sale of the bags has provided around $565,000 in grants for Little Athletics club around the country to help purchase equipment to support activities such as High Jump, Discus, Hurdles and the various running events.
"The Gloucester Little Athletics told us they would like to receive a grant to buy a high jump mat and we were delighted to help because we know this is an essential part of Little Athletics to support young budding athletes," Ms Lauder said.
Gloucester Little Athletics' Secretary Robyn Beggs said the grant was important to their centre which needed new equipment to continually provide a high quality and safe weekly experience.
"The grant will have a huge impact on our centre," Robyn said. "It will enable us to purchase a high jump mat which fits within the new standards coming into effect next season.
"Without the new mat, we will be unable to offer high jump at our competition nights from next season and our more talented athletes will find it even harder to compete at the next level," she said.
Gloucester Little Athletics returns for a new season at the end of July.
