To help sort through the more than 40 NSW Government rebates and savings, support is coming to Gloucester. Service NSW's cost of living appointment service is trailing a few sessions in town to help bring the service, which is already available in Taree, to Gloucester.
The service enables people to meet a cost of living specialist who can help claim savings they may be eligible for. Examples of savings include CTP refunds, National Parks Concession Pass, energy rebates, and $100 Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers. Since July 2018, more than 18,300 NSW residents have accessed more than $9 million in claimed and anticipated savings through the Cost of Living appointment service.
A cost of living specialist from the Taree Service NSW Centre will be coming to the Gloucester Council Chambers, 89 King Street, on Tuesdays for a few hours to meet customers. Gloucester was chosen as a suitable area for a trial as part of a planned expansion of the Cost of Living appointment service into remote areas.
"This trial service could provide our families in Gloucester with much needed hip pocket relief," Member for Upper Hunter, Michael Johnsen said.
The Gloucester trial will be available 10am-2pm on the following Tuesdays: April 30, May 7, May 21, June 4 and June 18. Bookings can be made at the Gloucester service centre.
