Get involved in a bit of social fitness like Julie Reay did and hang out with the Gloucester Social Exercise Group Aqua Aerobics group.
Having a bit of health-promoting fun in the water is what this group is all about, with a bit of socialising and recipe swapping added in. Julie read about the group in the Gloucester Advocate in November 2017, decided to give it a try and absolutely loves it. So much so, she encourages everyone to come out and give it a go.
"Come and join us for low impact and as intense as the effort you put in exercise, please bring a hat sunglasses and sunscreen for a splashing good time," Julie said.
On dry land, the group gets together for lunch regularly, each chipping in a gold coin donation that gets distributed to local charities.
The group has just returned to the Gloucester pool after the Christmas and New Year break, meeting Monday to Thursday mornings from 9.30am - 10.30am. The aerobics session is free, you just need to cover the cost of the pool entry.
