Gloucester Pre-school and Stroud Neighbourhood Children's Co-operative were among the five preschools in the Upper Hunter electorate to receive the one-off funding payment.
Member for Upper Hunter, Michael Johnsen said these preschools in bushfire impacted areas would benefit from a payment to provide fee relief and help with the recovery from this summer's devastating fires.
"Preschools are crucial to our local rural and regional communities, bringing them together and allowing parents to rebuild while their children are educated and cared for," Mr Johnsen said.
The $10,000 payment is designed to help community preschools and mobile preschools to provide fee relief for impacted families. The funds have been automatically paid to eligible services with no application required.
The payments can be used for a range of activities including fee relief for families, counselling support, and rectifying fire damage and fire preparedness.
"This funding will help relieve some of that pressure, allowing services to provide fee relief and other additional supports for their communities," Mr Johnsen said.
"Families in across NSW have been hit hard by fire and floods this summer and focused support for preschools will help everyone from the families staff and broader community."
Also the list for the Upper Hunter were Singleton Mobile Pre-School, Singleton Heights Pre-School and Singleton Pre-School as well as more than 200 community preschools across NSW.
Commonwealth funded services that are eligible for Child Care Subsidy can apply for grants through the Community Child Care Fund and families suffering financial hardship can access fee relief through the Additional Child Care Subsidy.
