As they say, many hands make light work, and that's no exception of Gloucester's biggest annual winter festival.

With organisers busy making all the preparations for Gloucester Chill Out Festival 2020, gathering a list of willing volunteers is a high priority.
According to event organiser Melissa Leitch, anyone with the ability to provide a helping hand on the day of the event, set for Saturday, July 25, is welcome to register.
"We need people to help out with the setup, the running of the event and the teardown," Melissa explained. "It would be ideal to have people commit to two hours so we can do a rotation, but even an hour would be good."
On the event website, there is a list of volunteers roles which outlines what types of things the committee is asking people to do.
"We're looking for people to direct stallholders, help out with the car show, collect rubbish, empty bins, check the toilets and be available to help visitors at the information tent," Melissa said.

Set up is due to start at 6.30am with volunteers needed throughout the day until clean up starts after the festival finishes at 9pm.
This year's event will not include the closure of Church Street as it has in previous years after a survey of the businesses indicated a preference to keep the road open, so volunteers will be needed to monitor the closure of Denison Street at the Church Street intersection as well as where it intersects with Billabong Lane.
The main part of the festival will take place in Billabong Park and carpark with the car show being set up on Farley Gates Cricket Oval at Gloucester District Park.
With the Aussie Night markets being such a hit during last year's festival, organisers have decided to run with the idea of having the event spill into the evening, with food vendors, amusement rides and live music running until 9pm.
If you are able to help out for a couple of hours, a little less or a little more, visit the website www.gloucesterchilloutfestival.com.au/ to register under the volunteers tabs or email gloucesterchilloutfestival@gmail.com.au.
