Looks like the rain could stick around this weekend across the region with milder temperatures.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, forecast for the rest of Friday (March 27) are partly cloudy skies and a high chance of a shower or two. There's the chance of a thunderstorm with winds southeast to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light in the late evening. Temperatures are expected to reach a top of 23 degrees. The fire danger rating is low-moderate and sun protection is recommended until 3.50pm with the UV index predicted to reach 8 [very high].

The high chance of rain is due to continue into Saturday (March 28), possibly heavy at times with a predicted rainfall of between 3 to 10mm and the chance of a thunderstorm. Partly cloudy skies with light winds becoming northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the late evening. Temperatures are expected to reach a top of 23 degrees with a low of 15 degrees. Sun protection is recommended from 9.50am to 3.50pm with the UV Index predicted to reach 7 [high].

Partly cloudy skies are expected for Sunday (March 29) with a 50 per cent chance of a shower or two most likely in the morning and afternoon to bring up to 2mm of rainfall. There's the chance of a thunderstorm with light winds becoming east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h during the afternoon then becoming light during the evening. Temperatures are expected to reach a top of 26 degrees with a low of 16 degrees. Sun protection is recommended from 9.50am to 3.50pm with the UV Index predicted to reach 7 [high].
