Monthly medal (MM) - Arkwood Trophy Day
Testing conditions were the order of the day on Saturday at the Gloucester Golf Club, as the chilly winter breeze picked up and a shower of rain dampened the course but not the spirits of the dedicated band of golfers who fronted up on a magnificently manicured course.

The course is certainly a huge credit to the talents of our greenkeeper, Rossi and his sidekick, Don - well done as always lads!
Young James "Crevice" McLeod continued his fine championship form to take out the July MM with a solid 73 nett. Nice to see you back in the swing of things James - A-grade is just a game or two away.
Brian Osborne was pipped at the post - beaten on a countback for the July medal. I'm guessing there was a missed short putt which could have made the difference Hairy.
Paul Blanch took the honour of winning the Mug of Mugs.
This event is played by all the medal winners throughout the year. Good shooting.
The A-grade scratch and nett prizes were also taken out by Paul with 75/74 respectively. In B-grade James McLeod took out the double also with 87/73.
Our C-grade winner was former club president Billy Mansfield who posted a very neatly compiled 74 nett. Good to see you chalking up a win Billy - all that practice is obviously paying dividends (or is it Kev's coaching??).
Derek Bardwell was the scratch winner with a neat 100 hits.
Ball Comp: Above winners + Dave Mann 75, Doug Blanch 76, Paul Coote 76, Craig McLeod 77, Greg West 77, Tom Dare 77, Roy Crichton 77, Mark Stone 77, Peter Markey 78 and Shane Crichton 78.
This Saturday is an individual stableford for the Gloucester Tyre and Battery Trophy.
On Sunday the annual Par 3 Championships will be held. Get your names down for the 11am shotgun start.
