It was yet another C Grader who shone through with a very impressive 40 points. Well done Ryan Yates - you are typical of the young brigade of golfers we would like to attract more of to our wonderful club. Runner up in C Grade was the sponsor man himself Paul Garland with 36 points.
In B Grade, Peter Wildblood took the honours with a well-compiled 35 points. We must thank Peter for his continued good work in presenting us with a very informative golf newsletter each week - it's a wonderful way to keep up to date with the happenings of our club. Keep up the great work Peter.
Runner up in B Grade was the wily old fox William Murray with 34. A Grade was taken out yet again by James McLeod (37 points) whose reduction in handicap hasn't deterred him from churning out great score after great score. Only a matter of time now before he catches his old man who was actually runner up to him on Saturday. You're going to have to do better than 34 points though Crack if you want to keep the young Crevice at bay. Our ladies winner was one of our visitors in S Salvage with 37 points. Speaking of visitors it has been incredible to see so many people visiting beautiful Gloucester in the past couple of months. With the easing of restrictions folks who normally travel overseas are hitting the road and exploring the regional areas - it has been a boon for struggling small towns like ours. Let's hope they keep on coming.
Ball Comp: Above winners/runners up + Graeme Marsh 35, B Dougherty 35, Derek Bardwell 34, Greg West 34, Brian Osborne 33, Kyran Laurie 33, Wayne Maddalena 33, Paul Coote 33.
Next Saturday will be a two man Ambrose for the Furniture One Trophy.
Good golfing, Shankers Apprentice.
