The purpose of the reference group is to identify a prioritised package of proposed improvements to Bulahdelah that may be included in a planning agreement associated with the proposal for a highway service centre at the northern entrance to Bulahdelah.
The group will provide guidance to council on key areas including street improvements and landscaping around Bulahdelah, additional facilities and infrastructure for RVs and caravans, business assistance package options and opportunities for local promotions of the area at the highway service centre.
We're hoping that we'll receive plenty of nominations from proactive community members who are interested in helping us to prioritise improvements based on what the community wants.
- Paul De Szell
"We're looking forward to getting this reference group established and working with Bulahdelah locals to come up with ways to enhance their town," MidCoast Council liveable communities director, Paul De Szell said.
"We're hoping that we'll receive plenty of nominations from proactive community members who are interested in helping us to prioritise improvements based on what the community wants."
Although the reference group will dissolve once the planning agreement is executed, the purpose of the group is to offer ideas and insight into the Bulahdelah community.
For further information and to nominate for a position on the reference group, head to the Bulahdelah Highway Service Centre Planning Agreement Reference Group page before 4.30pm on Wednesday, December 2.
