Last Wednesday, the final of the Fours Championships was played at the Gloucester Women's Bowling Club between the teams of Joan Ridgeway, Bev Germon, Jill Everett and Di Lockwood and Jean Holstein, Del Buckton, Judy Sheely and Di Pritchard.

It was a very close run match, with either side looking like winning. However, Joan's team started to pull away towards the end with her team resulting in a win, 20-12.
There were two social teams also playing with Vera Whatmore, Joy Hurworth and Jenny Burley winning over Bev Murray, Pattie West and Colleen Atkins - 23-16. In the other game, Val Pritchard and Jan Jones defeated Lorraine Ratcliffe and Normal Relf - 20-11.
This Wednesday, the Championship Pairs begin with the following matches in the first round (everyone else has a bye):
