Members were thrilled with their cooking entries at the recent Mid North Coast Group competition with 95 entries received from Bulahdelah to Nambucca Heads.
Winners are: Denise Hawdon - 1st Streamed Pudding, Cheery Blush cake and Chocolate cake, 2nd Fruit cake, and Peach Blossom cake and Judge's Choice for her pudding.
Rhonda Merchant - 1st Butter cake, 2nd Chocolate cake, Cherry Blush cake, Caramel Walnut slice, Sponge and Wagon Wheel Slice.
Barbara Reichert - 1st Fruit Cake and Wagon Wheel Slice, 3rd Sponge and Carrot and Ginger Loaf.
Virginia Monroe - 1st Caramel Walnut slice.
Gloucester Evening Branch also was awarded the most entries to State level for our Group.
These members are now baking to get their perfect entries to compete at State level against 29 other groups. Good luck to all. State judging will take place at Bega on Monday May 3, the first day of the CWA State Conference.
At our last meeting all enjoyed our guest speaker, Christine Brennan from Lifeline. This service is available to all 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The next meeting will be held at the CWA Rooms on Thursday May 13 commencing at 7pm, new members most welcome.
