Robert Hayes, Graham Turnbull and Col Beattie proved too strong for Kevin Burley, Terry Higgins and Ken Bryant winning 26-17. Allen Rose, Stephen Hurworth and Terry Davies were never troubled by Lu Urby, George Wisemantel and Chris Pritchard resulting in a 24-18 win.
The final of the major singles championship was played on Sunday with Mark Groves taking on John Andrews with John getting out of the barrier early and jumping to a 6-1 lead. From then on the scores were very even until play was stopped by rain and when play resumed Mark enjoyed the wet pitch to lead by 28 to 24. But John came home strong winning eight shots on the last three ends to claim victory 32-28 and become the major singles champion of the Gloucester club for 2021.
With the pennants season drawing to a close the Gloucester number two sides have found a new lease of life and won all three rinks to defeat Taree Leagues 19-17, 18-15 and 23-13 to win the master board 60 to 45 and claim a ten point to nil win but unfortunately the horse has bolted with only one game to play.
The number seven sides are looking strong with a three rink win over Harrington 23-16, 25-19 and 37-9 to win the master board 86 to 44 for a ten points to nil victory which leaves them in a strong position for a play off with the number seven two winner with one game and a possible wet match to play if required.
