The team of Andrew Henderson and Robbie Bowden were red hot on Thursday at Gloucester Bolwing Club, taking home the prize money defeating Terry Higgins and Bob Jones 32-17.

Allen Rose, Col Beattie and Jim McIntosh proved too strong for Lu Urby, Stephen Hurworth, Doug Barron 24-16. Kevin Burley combined with Don Meheiloff and Norm McLeod to defeat Tony Tersteeg, Vic Hebblewhite and Harry Cox 25-20.
Chris Pritchard and Terry Carson were in spectacular form assisting their skip Rob Heininger to an easy win over George Wisemantel, Steve Kriss and Max Stevens 27-17.
John Andrews, Brian Holstein and Paul Sheridan defeated Kevin Everett, Peter Sansom and Graham Holstein 25-14. And Graham Turnbull, Robert Hayes and James Davison had a close victory over Gordon Pritchard, Ken Bryant and Alex Laurie 17-15.
Saturday mixed bowls saw Kevin Everett, Joy Hurworth and Karen Heininger win the day over Joel (visitor) Judy Sheely and Max Stevens 24-11. Mike Sheely, Jill Everett and Jenny Stevens defeated Ken Bryant, Di Lockwood and Julie Kriss 24-11 but could only manage seven ends.
In the second round of the pairs championship, Mick Butler and Tony Tersteeg were too consistent for Kevin Burley and George Wisemantel winning 22-19, Mark and Philip Groves had a narrow victory over Col Hebblewhite and Bruce Wilson 20-19. Aaron Kelly combined with Alex Laurie playing the best bowls of his short career defeating Rob Heininger and Graham Turnbull 22-16.
Stephen Hurworth and Ken Bryant played great bowls to score one shot on the last end to defeat Steve Brown and Craig Yates 18-17. Bob Jones combined with the underestimated Clive Redman to defeat Brian Holstein and Peter Jones 24-14. Mark and Philip Groves backed up from their victory on Saturday to defeat Allen Rose and Gordon Pritchard 21-1. And in the remaining match, John and Jamie Andrews had a walk in park over an out of form Steven Higgins and Mark Tull winning 32-7.
The next round will be played on Saturday May 29 as the number seven pennant sides will have their play off against Pacific Palms on Sunday May 30 at Taree Leagues club and the entry form is now on the board for the triples championship.
