On Saturday July 31, Avon Valley Meats sponsored an Individual Stableford at the Gloucester Golf Club which saw Glenn Williams well ahead of the field and Rick Paff knock a ball 15cm from the pin at the 15th hole for a "jackpot".

Once again, the day presented both course and weather in top form; the course is drying out nicely favouring all golfers with a deal more run on their shots and the weather, in general, gave all players a strong feeling that to course is a great place to be on a weekend ... however well they played.
The winner in A grade, was Stacey Groves with a score of 35 Stableford points. In B grade, Glenn Williams turned in a great 39 points to head the grade and the field; Mark Stone's 33 points in C grade was good enough for a win. Balls in the associated ball competition were won by Glenn Williams 39, Darryl Wisemantel 37, Brian McInnes, Stacey Groves and Bill Murray 35 and Ben Veitch, Rob Gordon, Chris Murray,
Steve Macdonald and Brian Osborne all scoring 34 points. Rick Paff won a dozen golf balls for his tee shot landing 15 cm from the hole at the fifteenth hole in what he described as an otherwise unmemorable round.
Paul Garland and Steve Williams won their match over Brian Osborne and Steve Macdonald at the 21st hole in an ongoing match-up in the context of the Derro's Match Play Championship.
In the Super Sevens for the week ending Friday July 30, the winner was Denver Webb 19 with balls going to Paul Blanch (2) and Graham Rees on 17 points followed by David Hjorth, Rob Moore and Chris Pritchard with their 15 points.
On Saturday August 7, the Arkwood family sponsor the Monthly Medal an Individual Stroke event with the Medal going to the top score across the field and with trophies for net and gross scores in all three grades. Saturday August 14, the club is hosting their annual Par-3 Championships with course especially set up to cause the greatest amount of difficulty consistent with their being eighteen par three holes for everyone to negotiate.
