Fifteen new confirmed COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed in the Mid Coast Local Government Area (LGA) for the 24 hours to 8pm, Monday, November 15, which is the most in the Hunter New England Health District (HNEH).

Eight of the cases are from Taree, two from Forster, two from Wingham, one from Cedar Party, one from Rainbow Flat, and one from Wherrol Flat.
Hunter New England Population Health public health physician, Dr David Durrheim said testing is strongly encouraged across Lower Mid North Coast and New England.
In Taree, testing is available at:
- Taree Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology Walk-In Clinic from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday
- Taree Respiratory Clinic from 8:00am to 4:00pm daily
- Taree Showground Histopath Pathology Drive-through Clinic from 8:00am to 4:00pm daily
The 15 new cases are included in the 54 cases for the HNEH District.
Fifteen are from Mid Coast LGA, nine are from Newcastle LGA, seven are from Inverell LGA, six are from Lake Macquarie LGA, five are from Tamworth LGA, four are from Maitland LGA, four are from Port Stephens LGA, three are from Cessnock LGA and one is from Moree Plains LGA.
Twelve of the total active cases in HNEH are currently being cared for in hospital, and tree are currently in ICU. Forty-two cases are linked, eight are unlinked, and four are still under investigation.
Twenty-seven were infectious in the community, 23 were isolating while infectious.
Chatham Public School, Wingham Public School and Old Bar Public School are closed today due to COVID cases.
