The community is invited to help celebrate Australia Day at the Gloucester Showground. The event kicks off at 8am with a Welcome to Country, a flag raising ceremony and a barbecue breakfast followed by the awards presentation. Also included in the festivities are the Gloucester High School captains' address, the cutting of the cake, the ambassador's address and the announcement of the winners of the, the colouring-in competition, best business displays and best dressed competition - Australia Day theme.

Nathan Paddison comes to Gloucester! Amongst his varied work, Nathan personifies Australian icons on canvas making them his own. He stamps each work of art intrepidly with words that are meaningful to his psyche, purposely misspelling them to make a statement. Nathan fittingly expresses the individuality of an artist. Gloucester Gallery is open from Thursday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm, and Sunday 10am-1pm. Also Nathan will be in the gallery each Wednesday from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free.
