Tracey is the "creator" of Gloucester Creatives, a co-operative bringing together local talent who bring their own craft pieces to market at this central precinct.
So for all local painters, woodworkers, jam makers, dressmakers and all other creative types, Gloucester Creatives Co-operative is their market place.
The precinct also has the added benefit of being an attraction for tourists; a place to visit while in Gloucester.
Gloucester Creatives is located at the former Gloucester Nursery site on the corner of Church and Philip streets. And the site is ideal according to Tracey, who is a well-known local painting artist.
Tracey outlined the ideals and benefits of Gloucester Creatives to Probus members who in turn asked many questions of this new venture.
Following the meeting, Tacey accompanied members to the Gloucester Bowling Club to take part in an early celebration of mother's day.
The club's male members were busy waiting on the ladies all day long and two, Alan George and Robert Sparke, were seconded into the ultimate task of barbecuing the successful luncheon.
And to top it off, the club's catering officer was handed the knife to cut the specially ordered and prepared cake (which she herself had ordered beforehand).
Coach trip open to your friends
The club's next coach trip is on Thursday, May 23 to Greenbourne Nursery in Wauchope, and seats are now available to all non-members.
The coach will leave the Denison Street depot at 9am with a comfort stop at Taree.
Two cost options are available for members and for their friends: coach cost only but source your own lunch $55, or the coach plus Hebbies Bakery sandwiches picnic lunch provided at $65.
Bookings and money should be in for our May 2 meeting with deadline being Monday, May 13.
The club's June meeting this year will include a pumpkin and minestrone soup and damper luncheon catered by Kieren of Land and Sea Café.
Following on from a successful event last year, the entertainment will include bingo and trivia segments following the meeting and before lunch.
Meeting and meal cost combined will be $15 per person.
